So, last weekend, shortly after Jason Massie blogged about a couple of my blog entries, I tried to update my DNN instance to 4.9.1. And, after the fiasco of Christmast last year, I backed up my files and my database and then started the install.

Had I actually looked to see where my web site was pointing, I would have realized it was pointing to the backup I had made back in December, not the spot where it normally resides.

Thus, deleting those files and copying over from where I thought the web site was, didn't help me much.

Then spending several hours trying to reconnect stuff didn't help either.

However, patience, perseverance and week of time outside of a hectic work week have finally put the sites back up.

Regular backups to commence immediately.
